4 Best Tower Paddle Boards (2020)

4 Best Tower Paddle Boards (2020)

For those who aren’t the crossover audience of Shark Tank and paddle boarding, the owners of Tower went on the show and successfully got Mark Cuban to invest in their vision. This was because he saw real value in what they were trying to produce.
Fast forward a few years and we now see that Tower has become the gold seal in the industry for both quality and innovation. Instead of just making minor or cosmetic changes to their models to fill out a lineup, they take the time to sometimes push the boundaries of what we’ve come to expect.
This is a higher-end brand and as such, it isn’t easy for most of us to just buy a few models to see which one we like best. That’s what today we’re going over our 4 favorite models and explain why they made the cut.

Tower iRace Inflatable Paddle Board

This is a SUP built for speed, plain and simple. At long and lean 12’6”, it glides on the water like you’re flying through the clouds. Built to be ultra rigid, you’ll feel little to no drag at all on smooth water. In addition to being fast, it’s also made with the highest grade of PVC material to make sure that if you happen to pass by anything along or underwater, you’ll have nothing more than a minor scratch.

Tower’s Mermaid iSUP

If you’re more in the market for a great all-purpose board, you may want to check out this guy here. It’s a bit shorter than the first at 10’6”, but the width and thickness of this board let you know that there is nothing to fear when it comes to strength. One of the main reasons someone may want a board like this is that they want the freedom to do just about anything when they get on their board without being limited by a specialty SUP. Between the size, strength and high-quality material used on this board, this will be your go-to for years to come.

Tower’s Adventurer  iSUP

Sometimes speed isn’t everything. A lot of paddlers use their SUP as a means to an end versus just going out for the paddle boarding itself. Think about taking your board out fishing or yoga. This model has 2 things that make it stand out. First, it’s a shorter board which gives it the ability to turn faster and to fit in smaller spaces, great for small river and ponds. Also, this board is extremely wide compared to its length. This lets you be comfortable when using the board for long periods of time and especially when sitting or lying down. Considering all the things that you could do with this board, we would have liked to have seen bungee D-ring storage areas, but that doesn’t take away from the overall quality of the SUP.

TOWER XPLORER 14’ INFLATABLE SUP

Tower’s Touring Paddle Board

This is about as big as it gets. Rounding off the list we have one of the absolute longest iSUPs on the market measuring in at a whopping 14 feet! This is an absolute beast of a SUP. Tower talks about how it’s built for speed but there is something we find more interesting. The Explorer is rated at a weight capacity of 800 pounds. When we talk about bringing another person on the SUP with you in other reviews, we’re referred to a child or lighter adult. But with an 800-pound capacity, you could bring the whole family! With all that being said plus the high-quality materials and construction that comes with all Tower SUPs, this would make an excellent touring board or for a multi-person fishing trip.
