The Board in General

The V3 series features a variety of high performing boards for the paddling enthusiast. The 10’0” models are 33” wide and weigh only 25 lbs. For such a small board, the V3 has one of the highest weight capacities, at 290 lbs. the V3 can carry almost all riders; big, small, short, tall. This versatile board can take on any body of water with any rider, or two. Though, the V3 10’ is not a long board, the wide base and stiffness of the board can even handle a small or furry passenger, and if bringing the kids along isn’t your things, you can load up some gear, or a SUP cooler full of beers.

The Board: Deeper Details

V3 construction comes from years of experience mixed with tons of trial and error. Earth River SUP has done their research and combined all of the best SUP constructions to come up with their most durable yet, the V3 Core. Building on their already bombproof base, V3 technology fuses a second layer of military grade material to the drop stitch core of the boards, each model then goes through additional finishing steps for the highest quality performance boards. The outer shell of the 10’0” models is available in blue or performance red, which was designed to be an instructor’s board until the eye-catching design quickly gained popularity amongst the paddling community. The top deck is covered in ultra-grip EVA foam which is 40 % thicker than leading boards and has deeper grooves for wicking away water even on the choppiest of days. The Enhanced Dynamic Rails were designed to provide extra rigidity without the use of rods or battens in the board. At the center of the deck pad we see the removable center carrying handle; this soft handle is extremely useful for transporting your board in and out of the water and can be easily removed for an obstacle free standing zone. At the nose of the board is the 4-point bungee system attached with heavy-duty multi-purpose D-rings as well as an extra D-ring for towing, tethering or attaching a safety leash. Backing up to the tail of the board is the raised kick pad for additional control, a premium inflation valve and final leash point D-ring. On the underside of the V3 is three US fin boxes compatible with the included LRC fin pack and FCS fins.

Enhanced Extras

Included with every Earth River SUP is the heavy-duty ERS travel backpack and dual action pump, also included with the V3 series boards is the LRC fin pack. The backpack is roomy enough to hold your board and all of its necessary accessories, it also comes with padded straps and high-quality features down to the zippers. The dual action pump has a built-in pressure gauge so you can always get your board to its optimal PSI. And finally, the LRC (Lake River Coast) fin pack comes in a soft carrying case and consists of four varying center fins, four side slick fins and all the hardware you need to attach them.

Board Performance

The ERS V3 10’0” is a handy take anywhere board with high performing features for seasoned riders of all levels. The V3 is so responsive that beginners and lighter paddlers can ride too. These compact boards can cover a larger distance in shorter time with its stretched-out body designed to cut through currents and send you upstream with stability and speed. Change the fins out to customize your ride, from shallow waters to choppy waves. The V3 is even tough enough to take on whitewater, the deeply grooved deck pad gives you stability and control while keeping most of the water away from your feet. Turning, tricks, cruising or fishing the V3 10’0” can do it all but maybe not all at once. Not one detail stands out more than the next on this model, everything has its purpose and was finely tuned to shine in its time. The board tracks well and is responsive especially when turning or trying out some advanced techniques, but beginners can even steer this bad boy down the river. The rocker has been optimized for all water conditions; the enhanced rails keep you stable but also confuse you; you may think you’re on a hard board. Every feature of the V3 10’0” has been finely tuned for nothing but the best performance, anywhere.

Let’s Clarify: The Not so Negatives

Earth River SUP is so good at what they do, we were hard pressed to find something we didn’t like about these boards. Our only complaint is the lack of included accessories, we would have loved a complete starter kit for an ultra-convenient setup.

Exchange it- For just $99 to cover shipping, you can exchange an opened or used ERS board as a credit towards a new ERS board. The board must be from the same range sold by the dealer you bought it from and does not include accessories or excessive damage caused to the board.
